Dance and Performance

Performance is exciting and those involved often train for many years to achieve the results that they and others enjoy. All too often performers and their families have no opportunity to continue to enjoy pictures of such memorable occasions.

We set out to capture the essence of performance live in the studio, during rehearsal or occasionally during live performance. We take advantage of available or supplemental light to bring movement to life. Poor light sometimes limits the technical quality of the shots but not the atmosphere conveyed by the event. We work in a very unobtrusive way to avoid distracting performers so that the pictures represent the actual performance, rather than a pose presented to the camera.

Digital technology makes this approach possible and we often have several hundred shots to review after a session. We do this as quickly as possible and either present these results to you directly or using a private section of our website.
