Pet Portraits – How we work
Every owner knows that their pet has its own very special character that makes it very much one of the family. Our portraits set out to bring out that character so that you and your friends can enjoy being reminded of it for many years! They are often given as presents for special occasions to family and friends. Our sessions cost from as little as £60, including a print.
The Session
Our sessions usually take place in our garden in Lynchmere and last up to an hour. We usually use our garden, which presents a variety of settings, but we can come to you or a location of your choice. We have had considerable experience with animals, but it is usually a good idea for the owner to be with us during the session, if this is possible. We take typically 50 to 100 shots in different settings to capture the best moment. Dogs tend to be less camera shy than people and so the sessions do not need to be as long, but some are more difficult to capture than others!
After the Session
We sit down with you on the day, or a few days later, to review the results. We can discuss how particular pictures can be best presented, whether conventionally framed, on canvas or a range of materials, even bags and deckchairs! Depending on the choice of materials, it normally takes a week or so to produce the finished product, although we have created a finished and framed print within an hour in exceptional circumstances!
We emphasise our individual and flexible approach because we want you to have something that you, or the person who receives it as a present, can enjoy for years. We also retain all the images on file in case you need to re-order any prints.
