Exhibition and Other News!

Vivartis held its 15th Anniversary exhibition at King Edwards School in 25th September. This was a much larger show then usual and featured all the artists who had opened the show in previous years. We exhibited for the 6th time this year.  UK Youth again held their exhibition at the Royal College of Art in October and we participated for the third time. A wonderful venue.

Peter has received 3 awards for portrait and travel photographs in the Master Photographers Association SE 2011 print competition and one of these images was short listed for an MPA National Award.

He has also secured two awards for Landscape and Art photographs in The British Institute of Professional Photography SE 2011 competition. This was the BIPP’s first regional competition and so attracted a lot of interest.

Peter received a silver award at the BIPP’s annual gathering a Blenhiem in 2010 Palace and picked up two bronzes in the Epson 2011Pano Awards for panoramic photographs from around the world. You can see some wonderful shots on their site http://www.thepanoawards.com . We will upload our images on this site shortly.

Our joint exhibition and Art Fund event at Dutton Hall at the end of June was well received. You will be able to find more details on the Pavillion Artists and Dutton Hall websites (www.pavillionartists.co.uk and www.duttonhall.co.uk ).

2010 was a momentous year for The Remarkable Studio: we won 4 awards for photography and one for our Period Portrait initiative.

We also established the Pavillion Artists group with 3 other artists and had our maiden exhibition at the Haslemere Museum. A particular feature of the exhibition was the collaborative work between all the artists involved and this attracted a lot of interest.
